This was the first book I’ve read from this author and I’ve already put her other books on hold at the library. Everything still felt like barbs, even towards the end.Overall, it was a great premise with characters I did like, the story just didn’t seem fleshed out enough for me.**Huge thanks to the publisher for providing the arc free of charge** And with all of their banter, I never saw them soften. I didn’t catch the synopsis saying that Colin figures it out right away, so I was surprised when it happened 25% in and he just kept hiding it.
There are a good amount of characters named here, but no one really worth mentioning.Plot wise, I don’t know. Together they have banter for days and history. He’s charming, fluent in sarcasm and a bit cocky. She’s full of heart, snarky, and a bit of a chaotic mess. So, this sounds like everything I could ever want and yet I feel a bit disappointed.I liked Olivia and Colin well enough. He’s sure he can keep his distance, until the moment he discovers she’s the irresistible Miss Misdial he’s been sort of sexting for weeks-and now he has to decide whether to turn the heat up or ghost her before things get messy. But when a “What are you wearing?” text from a random wrong number turns into the hottest, most entertaining-albeit anonymous-relationship of her life, she thinks things might be on the upswing….Colin Beck has always considered Olivia his best friend’s annoying little sister, but when she moves in with them after one of her worst runs of luck, he realizes she’s turned into an altogether different and sexier distraction.
